ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The officers for 2026 are Marvin Kemper (President), Jamison Thies (Vice President) and Pam Kemper (Secretary/Treasurer.)

Our Holiday Dinner is Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Beatrice American Legion Club. Tickets are $24 each and the deadline to purchase them is January 1, 2026. No tickets will be sold at the door. It will be a buffet with ham roast, fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, green salad, rolls, butter, tea, coffee and dessert. Cocktail hour from 5-6 p.m. (pay per drink). Buffet served at 6 p.m.

Our next monthly meeting will be Thursday February 5, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Beatrice American Legion Club. Membership dues are due: $20 per member. For those who want to eat together, meet at 6 p.m. to order off the menu.

Charities chosen are Blue Valley Behavioral Health and the Beatrice Food Pantry. Members voted to donate new toys and $150 to Blue Valley, and a food item and $200 to the Food Bank. Toys will be delivered to the Beatrice Family YMCA on December 10 at 10 a.m. Volunteers are welcome to join us to unload vans of donations and sort them for appropriate age groups.

We have an official name for the September 2026 car show in historic downtown Beatrice :"JayHusker Carfest - Where Classic Meets Custom"

We are now members of ENWICC (Eastern Nebraska Western Iowa Car Council.)

JayHusker Auto Club started in the 1950’s in Beatrice, Nebraska as a Small Engine and Car Club, but didn’t officially become a recognized club (nonprofit organization) with the state until the late 1960’s. By the late 1960’s, the Club had already started hosting a Flea Market/Swap Meet and other events. Initially, the Club hosted the Swap Meet on Fathers' Day Weekend, but later combined it with the weekend of the annual Homestead Days. The originating club members lived in Southeastern Nebraska and Northeastern Kansas, thus the JayHusker name was chosen. The club has over 50 members who are auto enthusiasts ranging in age from teenagers to retirees. They have a wide variety of vehicles including Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Muscle Cars, Antique Cars, Sports Cars, Imports/Exotics, Motorcycles, Antique Farm Equipment and Drag Racing cars. The Club sponsors and participates in Car Shows, Show and Shines, Cruises, Racing, and other events. Many members are into small engines, flea markets and swap meets. We promote auto events within a 100-mile radius of Beatrice and post community events on our calendar.

You don’t have to own a vehicle to be a member. The Yearly Membership is only $20 (twenty dollars!)
