Lorenz joined Jay Husker Auto Club on March 6, 2025 after attending one of their car shows. Lorenz is retired from the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad where he was a heavy equipment operator. He has lived in this area 3 years. He went to Meridian High School in Tobias. He also went to Southeast Community College. He grew up in Daykin Nebraska. He started with the railroad in 1974. He moved to Lincoln Nebraska and lived there for 45 years. He moved back to Daykin in 2021 after his wife died of cancer. His favorite hobbies and pastimes' are Husker sports, antiques and traveling. His prized vehicles are a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad; a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Sedan; and a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
